About the books
Did you do any research before writing?
Yes. I am a big fan of doing research and like nothing better than to trawl through a myriad of text books looking for answers. I love using web resources, particularly for things like what day of the week a particular date is. I have found some really cool sites to help. Check out my resources page for some of my favourites.
How much is based on fact?
I do a lot of research into biological facts such as the life cycle of the dragon fly. To this end, I try as much as possible to be accurate. Having said that, I have never tried to make a pancake using the sap from bracken. From my research it appears this would be possible, however I have no firsthand experience on this so don’t try this at home.
Do you write full time?
No. I have a day job working in the health sector. Maybe one day I will live full time in the Jhunti world but for now I am really happy with the work I do.
What are you working on now?
Right this moment (2019) I am working on book 2 in the white Drekesh series. It’s called ‘The cave of the ancestors’. This book tells us more about Nemid’s life growing up and we get to see a lot more Jhunti culture.
Are the Jhunti real people?
They are in my head, however they do not, sadly, exist in this world. I have taken bits of many different first nation cultures and mixed them with ancient cultures from both European and UK history to make up Jhunti culture. A good deal of it I have just made up.
Where can I buy your books?
All of my books are available on Amazon, iBooks, Kobo, and Barnes&Noble. Individual purchase links can be found on each book's page.
